Ms. Templeton

Painting is Ms. Templeton's great joy. When she isn't teaching beginning and advanced painting at DHS, she paints with oil and acrylics in her home studio. Ms. Templeton has painted since childhood and grew up in a family of artists. She studied Fine Art at Ohio State University.

Art Mentor Program with Demo Elementary

Our juniors and seniors participate in a mentor program with Demo Elementary during the Spring semester each year. Upper classmen work with art students in the elementary grades to enhance creativity and skills. In addition, the seniors are responsible for guiding the younger children in exhibit preparation for their quarterly art shows.



Mr. Watkins

Mr. Watkins teaches Photography and Metals this semester. He studied Fine Art at New York University and has exhibited his black white photography in both the US and Europe.

Mr. Franklin

Mr. Franklin teaches Beginning Drawing and is the advisor for senior projects in the Art Department. Mr. Franklin's interests lie in pencil and charcoal drawing. His work is currently exhibited in the auditorium and at the district offices.

Mrs. Arroyo

Mrs. Arroyo teaches Ceramics, Mixed Media and Sculpture. She studied art at the Design Institute of Chicago and exbits her sculpture in several local galleries. Mrs. Arroyo is also the advisor for the Art Mentor Program at Demo Elementary.
